To help you prepare for your stay at the clinic Avicenne, we have established a list of things to prepare and take with you so that you do not forget anything and that your care is optimal.

On the administrative side, do not forget to bring:

    • The questionnaire for anesthesia
    • The administrative questionnaire
    • The informed consent form for the anesthetist
    • All the elements at your disposal of your medical file: X-rays (echoes, scanner, MRI, mammograms, etc.), blood test, prescriptions, previous reports, etc.
    • Medicines you usually take, if possible in their original packaging
    • An ID
    • A mean of paiement
    • A copy of your CNAS / CASNOS coverage if applicable.

For personal effects, remember to bring:

    • Comfortable clothes: pajamas, dressing gown, slippers, etc.
    • Your toiletries: towel, toiletry bag (deodorant, toothbrush with your toothpaste, a mild soap-free shower product, etc.)
    • If you usually wear contact lenses, be sure to bring your own pair of glasses.
    • A book or magazines for a little relaxation and tranquility
    • Your mobile phone and its charger. Note that you may be asked to turn it off when entering your room so as not to disrupt medical devices or to respect your roommate’s rest if you are in a shared room.
    • Earplugs and a travel mask, which can sometimes be useful to isolate noise and avoid the light.

In order to help us avoiding any risk of infection or contamination, we invite you to follow the following precautions:

    • Cut your fingernails and toenails and remove any nail polish. This prevents germs from remaining under this layer of varnish, despite an aseptic shower.
    • Do not wear any jewelry: ring, necklace, earring, bracelet, piercing, etc.
    • Take a shower the day before or the day of the procedure and wear clean clothes.
    • Avoid perfume and creams.
    • If you have to undergo surgery, remember to remove hair from the operating area which will be indicated to you by our healthcare staff before the operation.
    • If you are a smoker, be sure to abstain. The Avicenne clinic is a smoke-free institution. However, smoking areas are available in the grounds of the entrance on the 1st floor.

The week before your stay, we also recommend that you:

    • Read the information that will have been sent to you by the clinic’s care services, such as: a specific diet to follow before the operation, treatment the day before, shower, varnish, come on an empty stomach, etc. If you have any doubts, do not hesitate to contact our establishment
    • Let us know that you want to stay in a single room (additional cost), so that we can arrange everything before your arrival.
    • If you cannot be accompanied by a loved one, our services will be happy to send a taxi to your address.
