How does a natural birth go?

Upon your arrival at the Avicenne clinic, you will be directly taken care of by our nursing staff throughout the delivery and after. Our teams will take care of your admission to the maternity ward and, if the time is right, will help you be directed to one of our delivery rooms, where an adapted infrastructure combined with cutting-edge technology is at your disposal to ensure you soothing atmosphere and all the necessary for your well-being.

What should you expect? Will your gynecologist be present?

Yes, your gynecologist is notified upon your arrival and remains in permanent contact with the midwife. He will be present during the delivery.

What is an epidural? Is it possible to have them during childbirth?

What is a caesarean? Is it possible to have a scheduled Caesarean?

If there is a complication during a natural delivery, your gynecologist may choose to accompany you to the operating room for a cesarean section.

You also have the option of choosing a cesarean delivery, either upon arrival at the clinic Avicenne or by mentioning it to our services in advance. The midwife will stay with you during the operation and when you go to the recovery area, before accompanying you to your room.
